Dr. Quiroga graduated from medical school (M.D.) in 2010 and entered his medical residency in General Surgery, completing his Master’s in Surgery (M.Surg.) in 2014. He entered as a professor of Human Anatomy at the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León (UANL) in 2014, obtaining his tenure as full time professor in 2018. He finished a doctorate in medicine (Ph.D.) in 2018, obtaining the degree in 2019.
He is co-author a book, and collaborator of 3 others. Scientific activity includes 26 published papers in indexed journals in the fields of morphology/anatomy, medical education, and clinical medicine. He is the research coordinator of the Human Anatomy Department, and oversees over two dozen active research projects with students in collaboration with several departments in the school and university hospital.
He has had five academic/surgical stays in foreign countries, four different diplomats/certified training, is member of the university’s institutional committee for the care and use of laboratory animals, more than 80 research presentations (oral/poster) in diverse meetings, nine research awards, more than 55 continuous education courses/trainings, over 150 certificates as lecturers or coordinator of courses, and over 80 certificates of assistance to meetings
